Hello Parents, Carers, and Athletes,
Congratulations on your selection and thank you for making yourself available to represent the club in the upcoming relay championships.
Our club has traditionally excelled at this event, and we are looking forward to showcasing some strong performances this weekend. With 10 teams across all 5 events, it is a landmark year for us as we field 2 female relay teams for the first time in our history👏.
Our club’s tear drop banner will mark our home base for the day at the track. Feel free to bring chairs, picnic rugs, and refreshments. When you’re not racing, let’s all cheer on our fellow athletes with plenty of encouragement.
Final team rosters are attached as of 24/01/23. Any niggles or injuries please communicate with the coaches directly as we have runners in reserve. Dependant on the final timetable w heats & finals some athletes workload maybe managed so they are not running heats & finals across multiple events. Your coach will communicate this on the day.
Important Information:
Location: Tom Kelly Athletics Track 125a George Street, Doncaster East, VIC 3109
Arrival Time: Coaches have asked all athletes & reserves to please arrive at the track at least 75 minutes before your scheduled event time.
If Running Late: Contact one of the coaches: David Lightfoot: 0403 010 745 OR Gregor Evans: 0439 006 493 if not there by 75mins to provide them w ETA. Reason for this is the team running order needs to be submitted online 75min prior to the race.
Club Helpers: We maybe as a club required to provide volunteer helpers for the event. Duties will be shared with participating clubs once entries close. Your contribution and support is vital to the day’s success, many hands make light work. We will keep you updated.
Uniform & Bibs:
- Old Scotch AVSL uniform is required. Scotch students without an OS singlet may wear the school athletic uniform.
- Your Athletics Victoria bibs must be worn on both the front and back.
